Roadway Inspector

Job Summary:

Atlas is seeking a skilled Hot Mix Level 1B Roadway Inspector (CM Inspector) to join our Dripping Springs, TX team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of our roadways and materials.

Key Responsibilities:

• Performing tests both in the field and laboratory for hot mix.
• Complex and routine construction inspection of roadways and materials to ensure compliance with construction contract specifications.
• Contract document control and reporting, including field measurements, calculations, and computations.
• Assisting the Project Manager or Project Engineer, as needed.

Requirements:

• 1+ years minimum experience in highway hot-mix construction inspection.
• Knowledge and experience working with material testing asphalt pavements.
• Must have a proven history of working well with contractors and owners to accomplish construction tasks.
• Experience providing contract administration and field reporting.
• Proficient communication with PM, staff, contractor, and other stakeholders.
• Proficient at using Microsoft Word and Excel spreadsheets and knowledge of PDF software such as Bluebeam or Adobe.

Additional Qualifications:

• Must be willing to work either day or night shifts.
• Must be willing to work weekends.
• Must be willing to transition from field testing and inspection duties to laboratory testing responsibilities as needed.
• Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
• Abide by Atlas health and safety policies and procedures.
