The Machinist plays a crucial role in the manufacturing process, ensuring precision and quality in the production of components. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can effectively manage multiple tasks while adhering to safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate records of daily operations and job-related data.
  • Alert supervisors to any issues regarding products, machinery, or programming.
  • Operate and program CNC machinery efficiently.
  • Utilize Gibbs Cam or Surfcam for programming tasks.
  • Examine setup sheets and technical specifications for accuracy.
  • Ensure the proper maintenance of cutting tools.
  • Design and fabricate necessary fixtures for production.
  • Employ precision measurement tools to guarantee quality standards.
  • Set up and operate various machine tools as required.
  • Assemble and disassemble molds as part of the production process.
  • Perform grinding, filing, and sanding on components to achieve desired finishes.
  • Utilize overhead cranes safely and effectively.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred experience of one to two years in a similar role.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
  • Experience with elastomeric materials is a plus.
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Regularly required to walk, use hands, reach, talk, and hear.
  • Frequently required to stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
  • Must be capable of lifting various weights.
  • Specific vision abilities are necessary for this role.
  • Ability to remain on feet for extended periods is essential.
