We are seeking a skilled CNC Swiss Machine Operator to join our team at Hanel, a leading US manufacturer of precision hydraulic components. Key Responsibilities- Operate and set up a variety of machine tool equipment, including numerically controlled Swiss Style machines and other hand and power equipment.
- Secure and fixture raw stock of material into machine, square material prior to running program if necessary, and monitor the operating of the machine to ensure proper program performance.
- Ensure machine and area around machine is kept clean and organized.
- Perform machine changeovers and change tool inserts as needed.
- Deburr completed machine parts as time allows.
- Operate CNC machine in a safe manner.
- Perform Quality Control Characteristics documentation of tolerance zones specified on blueprints.
- Notify lead of major malfunctions or when machine maintenance is needed.
- Recognize and remedy minor machine malfunctioning or cutting action of tools.
- CNC Machines and tools experience.
- Production processes knowledge.
- Quality control skills.
- Raw materials handling.
- Machine operation and gauging.
- Production requirements and process documentation.
- Basic math skills.
- Proper use and care of precision quality measurement tools.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Willingness to train on the job.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including a $2,000 sign-on bonus and a $1.25 shift premium. We are a 2nd shift opportunity, working from 3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.
