Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Palletizer to join our team at Ventura Foods. As a Palletizer, you will be responsible for consolidating individual units on a pallet for proper storage or immediate transfer to the customer and/or consumer.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and assemble palletizer for production runs
  • Configure pallets and orders to ensure efficient stacking and minimize overhang
  • Inspect shippers for damage, stains, and incorrect code dates
  • Quality check pallets before transfer to shipping to ensure they are clean, dry, and free of defects
  • Transport pallets using a pallet jack and maintain operational sanitation
  • Assist in loading tape onto tape machines and adjusting tape machines
  • Maintain documentation of production output and communicate with oncoming operators
  • Follow all food safety policies, procedures, and regulatory criteria
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience
  • 1 or more years of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
  • Good judgment, strength, and stamina
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work at a fast pace and identify food safety and security concerns

Physical Demands:

This role requires regular intermittent sitting, standing, walking, climbing, squatting, kneeling, pushing, and pulling. Physical strength and dexterity are necessary to perform the required tasks, and occasional lifting and/or moving of up to 50 pounds or more with assistance may be required.

Work Environment:

This role may require work outside and in adverse temperatures, exposure to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and vibration. Personal protective equipment may be required, and work in confined and dark spaces, and at heights in excess of 18 feet for prolonged periods of time may be necessary.
