Overview

The Financial Planning & Analysis Manager will report directly to the Controller and will be instrumental in enhancing existing systems to accurately assess financial and operational performance. This role involves preparing financial evaluations, forecasts, and specialized studies for management, focusing on areas such as performance metrics, capital investments, and alternative management strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the forecasting and budgeting initiatives for the organization, coordinating efforts with the Commercial, Operations, and Finance teams.
  • Work collaboratively with a team of Finance analysts to refine processes and controls related to weekly reporting, variance analysis, and forecasting.
  • Conduct weekly, monthly, and quarterly variance analyses, providing management with actionable recommendations to enhance P&L, operating working capital, and cash flow.
  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial analyses for significant transactions and major capital expenditure proposals, delivering clear and concise reviews of current and projected operating results to the leadership team.
  • Oversee daily and weekly P&L reporting, collaborating with operations on forecasting recovery plans and continuously improving processes.
  • Provide necessary forecasting and business impact assessments on inventory management concerning working capital, LCM, and FCA analysis.
  • Develop and implement inventory count plans, including cycle count procedures and full physical counts.
  • Assist in the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, including analysis and reconciliation.
  • Manage special finance projects and perform additional duties as assigned by the Controller.
  • Adhere to all aspects of the position in accordance with the PCC Code of Conduct and SOX guidelines.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA, CPA, or CMA preferred.
  • Three to five years of experience in a U.S. public company environment.
Skills and Competencies
  • Proficient in all MS Office applications and internet applications.
  • Highly self-motivated with a strong drive to succeed.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and take initiative.
  • Strong interpersonal skills across all organizational levels.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Capability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional people management skills.
  • Willingness to work outside of normal office hours as required by the business.
