Job Summary

The Swim Instructor is a key member of our aquatics team, responsible for providing swim instruction in our 25-yard Main Pool and Warm Water Pool. This role ensures safety by supporting the lifeguard in enforcing all rules, regulations, and policies during class times.

As a Swim Instructor, you will be working with swimmers of different ages and skill levels, potentially including parent/child lessons and group lessons. You will impart knowledge of swimming in a friendly, encouraging manner, demonstrating skills as needed, and work with students of a wide variety of ages and backgrounds.

We are looking for a dependable, organized, and energetic individual with a positive and outgoing personality. You will be responsible for communicating with clients and management staff in a clear and concise manner, and committing to teaching full sessions of group lessons.

Essential Duties
  • Plan and conduct swim lessons for swimmers of different ages and skill levels
  • Impart knowledge of swimming in a friendly, encouraging manner
  • Demonstrate exceptional guest service, problem-solving skills, and ability to communicate effectively
  • Commit to teaching full sessions of group lessons
Qualifications
  • Age 15 or older
  • Knowledge of swimming strokes and techniques
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check
  • Previous experience teaching swimming (in some cases, extensive experience as a competitive swimmer may be sufficient)
