We are seeking a skilled Registered Radiologic Technologist to join our team in Marietta, GA. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and producing accurate diagnostic images.

Job Duration: 13 Weeks

This is a 13-week contract position, working night shifts from Friday to Sunday, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM. You will be required to work independently and under pressure, with a strong focus on customer service and attention to detail.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist
  • ARRT in Radiography certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to function independently and under pressure
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Detail-oriented with multitasking capability
  • Ability to prioritize tasks
  • Familiarity with anatomy and pathology
Responsibilities:
  1. Obtain complete clinical history and assess for contraindicating conditions
  2. Follow established procedures for the administration of contrast media to prevent patient discomfort or adverse reactions
  3. Ensure proper patient identification, utilizing correct markers and documentation
  4. Review radiographic images for quality and clinical acceptability
  5. Respond to emergencies and assist with the maintenance of life support equipment
  6. Assist other technologists across modalities as needed
  7. Employ critical thinking, seek clarification on orders, and verify procedure details
  8. Ensure patient privacy and comfort throughout procedures
  9. Demonstrate sterile technique and competent venipuncture, if applicable
  10. Adjust imaging techniques to minimize radiation dose while maintaining image quality
  11. Report equipment malfunctions promptly for timely resolution
  12. Clean, disinfect, and maintain equipment according to infection control policies
  13. Clearly explain exams to patients to ensure understanding and cooperation using AIDET principles
  14. Participate in orientation and training of new employees and students
  15. Maintain required documentation accurately and legibly
  16. Produce high-quality images and ensure proper labeling and storage
  17. Restock supplies and maintain a clean and orderly work environment
  18. Transport and position patients safely and efficiently
  19. Perform or assist in clerical duties as needed
  20. Maintain productivity and comply with regulatory standards
  21. Participate in on-call duties when necessary and perform other assigned tasks
