Job Title: Account Specialist

Job Summary:
The Account Specialist plays a vital role in supporting Account Managers, Account Executives, and Consultants in maintaining and servicing Commercial Lines accounts. This position requires a highly organized individual who can work independently with minimal supervision, providing excellent internal and external customer service while building professional relationships with multiple customer contacts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Backup all functions of an Account Administrator, ensuring seamless account management.
  • Process endorsement requests efficiently, verifying accuracy and communicating with clients as needed.
  • Proactively reach out to underwriters to gather applications and discuss renewal terms.
  • Prepare and analyze account reviews, gathering additional information as needed from clients.
  • Utilize Indio for supplemental applications, schedule reviews, and quoting purposes.
  • Renew policies accurately and efficiently, updating endorsements and commissions as applicable.
  • Research and report on direct billing invoicing, resolving billing issues in a timely manner.
  • Follow up on audit disputes, resolving issues with AM/AE guidance.
  • Manage assigned tasks daily, completing them by the end of the workday.
  • Maintain a current, active license, completing Continuing Education classes as required.

Requirements:
  • Able to read and write in English.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Colorado Property and Casualty License; insurance designations such as CIC, CISR, ARM, or CRIS strongly desired.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in Commercial Lines insurance.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office products and Agency Management System software (AMS 360 or similar).
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong customer service and team skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and solid organizational skills.
