The Advocate Second Shift position at House of Hope Green Bay, Inc. is a critical role that requires a dedicated and compassionate individual to provide support and guidance to residents and clients during the afternoon and evening hours.
Key Responsibilities- Implement and administer direct client services in coordination with case plans and individual needs.
- Ensure a clean, organized, and healthy environment for clients.
- Support clients in achieving their goals in areas such as parenting, education, employment, and stable housing.
- Maintain positive relationships with residents/clients, staff, volunteers, community groups, and organizations.
- Provide intake interviews and program orientation as required.
- Maintain required records and logs for each client.
- Support clients in accomplishing goals in their individualized case plans.
- Provide crisis intervention when necessary.
- Provide a positive role model for clients to grow and develop.
- Provide care for infants and children in the Hope Center shelter care facility.
- Perform required cleaning and maintenance tasks of the interior and exterior of the facility.
- Provide tours, program information, and hospitality as needed for volunteers.
- Attend all staff meetings and in-service trainings.
- Carry out all other duties and programs as assigned.
- Valid Wisconsin driver's license.
- Successful completion of criminal background check.
- High school diploma required; degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Development, Child/Youth Development, or related field preferred.
- An ability to safely provide direct services to individuals experiencing homelessness as well as young parents and their children.
- Appropriate interpersonal communication skills and a sensitivity and understanding of the needs of a diverse, multicultural clientele.
- Ability to work effectively with others.
- Ability to maintain flexible work hours.
- Ability to plan and organize work and to make effective use of time.
