Job Summary

The Speech Language Pathologist Assistant will provide district-wide support, working under the direction of the Director of Special Education and/or Special Education Program Coordinator.

This is an itinerant position, requiring the assistant to work at various sites and under the supervision of various speech and language therapists.

Responsibilities
  • Provide services to identified pupils with speech and/or language disabilities
  • Work under the direction of the Director of Special Education and/or Special Education Program Coordinator
  • Collaborate with speech and language therapists to provide support to students
Requirements
  • AA/AS Degree in speech-language pathology assistant program or Bachelor's degree in a speech-language pathology or communication disorders program
  • Registration as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant with the State of California
  • Proficient in sign language (desired)
  • Experience working with children in a classroom setting (desired)
