Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Senior Accountant to join our Estate and Trust Practice in the Great Lakes Region. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and guidance on trust, estate, gift, and personal tax compliance for clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation of fiduciary income tax returns and maintenance of accounts and records for various estates and trusts
  • Coordination of Estate & Trust planning, including calculation of potential estate and/or gift taxes
  • Coordinating distributions to various trust beneficiaries and arranging for payment of estimated taxes
  • Advising and consulting on Estate, Gift and Trust tax planning matters or proposed tax legislation in these areas with firm or client leadership
  • Collaborating with attorneys, financial advisors, and other professional advisors to accomplish client goals and to represent the firm in the business community on estate and trust planning and tax preparation matters
Requirements
  • 2-5 years of experience in a relevant position
  • Public accounting or other professional services environment preferred
  • Experience with Trust Accounting, Estate/Trust Planning, and analyzing estate/trust documents
  • Experience with ProSystem FH and Engagement preferred
  • Experience with providing comprehensive tax services to a diverse client base
  • Experience with preparing complex estate/trust/gift tax returns
