Chief Innovation Scientist

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Innovation Scientist to lead the development of novel beverage applications using cutting-edge protein ingredients. As a key member of our R&D team, you will utilize your expertise in food science to design, conduct, and analyze experiments that drive success with customer projects. Effective communication of technical information is crucial in this role, requiring the ability to engage with all levels and functional areas both internally and externally.Key Responsibilities:
- Explore and develop innovative beverage formulations using novel protein ingredients, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive project success.
- Design and execute experiments to evaluate ingredient functionality, sensory attributes, and overall product performance, ensuring seamless transitions from bench-top to commercial-scale production.
- Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Product Line Management to drive profitability and growth through customer interactions, identifying opportunities for new applications and product development.
- Contribute to the development of new applications for existing and emerging markets, creating innovative product concepts and prototypes for internal and external customer demonstrations.
- Provide technical expertise for new product launches, product improvement, and cost-saving initiatives, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging ingredient science, applying this knowledge to develop impactful application and sensory technologies.
- Deliver technical presentations and write comprehensive reports to communicate results to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to a culture of safety and quality, adhering to all relevant requirements and offering suggestions for continuous improvement.
- Travel approximately 20-40% of the time, with potential for variation based on business needs.
