Position Overview

The Travel MRI Technologist plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality imaging services while ensuring patient safety and comfort. This position involves traveling to various locations to provide MRI services as needed.

Certification Requirements
  • OBMI Certification
  • AHA BLS Certification
  • ARRT Certification
Job Responsibilities
  • Ensure a safe environment for all individuals within the MRI Safety Zones.
  • Maintain proficiency in IV starts for the administration of contrast agents.
  • Initiate and conclude examinations, documenting all relevant information in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
  • Provide care for patients undergoing moderate and deep sedation.
  • Participate in standby rotation as required by the lead technologist.
  • Deliver age-appropriate care for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, considering their developmental stages.
  • Keep a detailed log of all patients, procedures, complications, and system issues.
  • Explain and apply the principles of MRI physics.
  • Conduct quality control tasks in MRI in line with departmental standards.
  • Assist physicians as needed during procedures.
  • Support patient scheduling and logistics.
  • Transport patients as necessary.
Work Schedule

The typical work schedule for this position is:

  • Monday – Thursday: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
  • Friday: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
