We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacist I to join our team at Christus Health. As a Clinical Pharmacist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications in our healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and dispense medication orders according to established policies and procedures.
- Compound and dispense pharmaceuticals, including non-sterile and sterile products, chemotherapy, and parenteral nutrition products.
- Issue controlled substances to patient care areas and maintain records as required by law and institutional policies.
- Supervise and direct pharmacy support personnel, verifying their daily activities.
- Attend staff meetings and participate in quality improvement and medication use review activities.
As an Ambulatory Care Pharmacist, you will provide pharmaceutical care services to patients in our ambulatory care settings. This will include managing patient drug therapy, anticoagulation management, providing patient education, and preparing and/or overseeing the preparation and dispensing of medications.
You will also perform duties in clinical areas, such as anticoagulation clinics, intensive medical home, transition of care, and discharge medication reconciliation.
Requirements- Doctor of Pharmacy or BS Pharmacy degree required.
- Pharmacy registration in the State of practice.
- Must have pharmacy State licensure within 60 days of start date.
Full-time position with a TBD work schedule.
