Salesforce Delivery Manager Job Description

At Pearson, we are seeking a highly skilled Salesforce Delivery Manager to lead and manage Salesforce implementation and enhancement projects. As a key member of our Corporate Strategy & Technology team, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering Salesforce solutions that drive business value and customer success.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Project Planning & Delivery: Manage end-to-end delivery of Salesforce projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation. Collaborate with business partners to build business cases and ensure successful project outcomes.
  2. Team & Stakeholder Management: Lead cross-functional teams, including Salesforce developers, administrators, business analysts, and third-party consultants. Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring their expectations are managed and aligned with project objectives.
  3. Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies that could impact project success. Develop contingency plans and mitigate risks to ensure timely delivery of projects.
  4. Salesforce Solutions & Technical Expertise: Provide subject matter expertise on Salesforce products, best practices, and industry standards. Collaborate with technical architects and developers to ensure the design and implementation of scalable, maintainable Salesforce solutions.
  5. Budget & Resource Management: Manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure efficient use of resources. Forecast resource needs and ensure that project teams are adequately staffed to meet project goals.
  6. Reporting & Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on project progress, risks, and performance to stakeholders and senior management. Provide regular updates on project milestones, delivery timelines, and overall project health.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. Salesforce certifications (Salesforce Administrator, Salesforce Consultant, Salesforce Project Manager) are preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience managing Salesforce projects, with a track record of delivering successful implementations.
  • Experience in a delivery or project management role, with expertise in managing cross-functional teams and delivering complex technical solutions.
  • Deep understanding of Salesforce platform capabilities and experience with Salesforce modules (e.g., Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud).
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) and tools (JIRA, Confluence, etc).
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams, manage stakeholder expectations, and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
