The CNC Press Brake Technician will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC press brake machinery, along with other equipment utilized in the production of sheet metal components. This role requires a willingness to learn and adapt to various functions within the manufacturing workflow. We are committed to training the right candidate who demonstrates the necessary skills and a positive attitude. The position involves standing for extended periods and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently operate CNC press brake and metal cutting machinery to meet production specifications.
- Determine dimensions and machine settings as required.
- Adjust machine controls and modify tool settings to maintain specified tolerances.
- Analyze blueprints, sketches, and specifications to ascertain dimensions, tolerances, operational sequences, and tooling setup requirements.
- Inspect sample components to ensure compliance with specifications using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
- Support and uphold the company's Quality Management System procedures and documentation.
- Comply with ISO 9001 standards.
- Ensure a clean and safe working environment.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent; a minimum of two years of experience operating press brake machinery is required.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints.
- Familiarity with tooling and various material types.
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of manufacturing software are advantageous.
- Capable of lifting 50 pounds.
- Collaborate with the engineering team for optimized part programming.
