AS A FACILITIES MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN, YOUR DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining the sales floor, including floors, walls, baseboards, ceiling tiles, air vents, fitting rooms, touchpoints, and restrooms.
- Maintaining the exterior of the store, including windows, doors, cart corrals, and removing garbage/debris.
- Sanitizing and maintaining the checkout area, ensuring daily removal of hangers and touch-point sanitization.
- Cleaning and maintaining break room appliances, light fixtures, water fountains, and store fixtures.
- Restocking necessary supplies in restrooms, such as soap, toilet paper, and paper towels.
- Keeping garbage containers clean and replacing bags as required.
- Performing general maintenance tasks, including replacing light bulbs, conducting equipment repairs, cleaning carpets and tiles, minor painting, and miscellaneous repairs.
- Ensuring all tasks are performed safely and taking ownership of Guest and Associate safety in line with Bealls Inc. policies and procedures.
- Monitoring the supply of cleaning and sanitizing products, restroom, and checkout supplies, and communicating needs to the Manager.
- Completing other assigned duties as necessary.
WHAT WE SEEK IN A FACILITIES MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN:
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively to accomplish tasks, solve problems, and achieve objectives.
- A helpful attitude towards guests and fellow team members.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow multi-step processes.
- Flexibility to work varying hours and schedules, including days, mid shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must possess adequate vision, speech, hearing, and physical ability to perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry at least 20 pounds.
- Full body rotation and mobility (bending, stooping, twisting, and reaching) are required.
- Capability to climb a 12-foot ladder for maintenance tasks.
- Ability to handle cleaning equipment (vacuum, broom, mop, duster, etc.) necessary for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation.
- Full hand usage to operate hand tools is essential.
- Reliable transportation is required.
