Lab Assistant/Phlebotomist

We are seeking a skilled Lab Assistant/Phlebotomist to join our team at Piedmont Newnan Lab. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA '88), OSHA and the Georgia Department of Community Health and other applicable regulatory standards.
Responsibilities:
• Performs venipunctures and obtains/prepares blood specimens in accordance with Piedmont policies and procedures.
• Assists technical staff in non-clinical tasks.
Requirements:
• High School graduate or equivalent.
• None minimum experience required.
• Phlebotomy certification through ASCP, ASPT, NCA or equivalent agency is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of venipunctures/phlebotomy is preferred.
• Working knowledge of clinical laboratory processes is preferred.
• Experience in performing EKGs is preferred.
• Experience working in healthcare or clinical laboratory setting is preferred.
