Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist to lead our team in Athens. As a Lead Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our nuclear medicine department and promoting excellence in patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of nuclear medicine technologists to ensure efficient and effective delivery of patient care.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain accreditation standards and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in nuclear medicine technology and equipment, and promote their use to improve patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless patient flow and coordination of care.
- Provide leadership and guidance to team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
Requirements:
- Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine program accredited by either the Joint Review Committee on Education Programs in Nuclear Medicine Technology (JRCNMT) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
- Registered nuclear technologist with either the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (Nuclear) ARRT (N) or the Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB-CNMT).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in nuclear medicine, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
- BLS certification.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide team members.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in leadership of personnel.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements.
- Thorough knowledge of radiation safety guidelines and radiopharmaceuticals.
Working Conditions:
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions quickly and effectively. The Lead Nuclear Medicine Technologist must be able to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and other healthcare professionals.
