Role Summary

W3Global Inc is seeking a dedicated Senior Accountant to join our finance team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations. The Senior Accountant will manage various accounting functions including Payroll, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger activities, while also overseeing Month-End Closing and Fixed Asset Management.

Key ResponsibilitiesPayroll Management:
  • Act as the primary liaison with our outsourced payroll provider to ensure precise and timely payroll processing.
  • Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct weekly reconciliations of Payroll Journals.
  • Facilitate annual Workmen's Compensation Audits.
  • Input tax information for associates into the payroll system.
  • Oversee payroll deductions and ensure reconciliation with the General Ledger.
  • Prepare and submit necessary payroll documentation to relevant agencies.
  • Generate and enter journal entries into the accounting system at month-end.
Accounts Payable Oversight:
  • Lead the Accounts Payable department, coordinating workflow and ensuring adherence to policies.
  • Execute weekly Accounts Payable check runs.
  • Maintain robust procedures for invoice processing, travel reimbursements, and petty cash management.
  • Process invoices for various services, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare journal entries for necessary corrections or adjustments.
  • Ensure proper vouchering of invoices related to Sales and Use Tax.
  • Engage with both internal and external customers to provide exceptional service.
  • Support the AP team during their absence.
  • Prepare documentation for internal and external audits.
  • Assist in the preparation of 1099 reports.
  • Enter journal entries into the accounting system at month-end.
Accounts Receivable Duties:
  • Manage bank deposits of received revenue, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Generate miscellaneous invoices as required.
  • Maintain daily cash balances and request funding as necessary.
  • Enter journal entries into the accounting system at month-end.
General Accounting Functions:
  • Supervise the timely closing of month-end accounts in accordance with corporate schedules.
  • Prepare and enter General Journal Entries at month-end.
  • Develop accrual schedules for journal entries and reversals.
  • Conduct monthly reconciliations of General Ledger accounts.
  • Generate ad hoc reports as needed.
  • Provide LIFO Index Reporting upon request.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the Divisional Controller.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Management with a focus on Accounting.
  • At least 3 years of experience in accounting with responsibilities in Payroll, Accounts Payable, and General Ledger.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience using ERP and Payroll Software.
  • Ability to supervise and review the work of others for accuracy.
  • Strong attention to detail in completing paperwork daily.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with advanced skills including Pivot Tables and V-Lookup.
  • Adherence to company safety protocols.
  • Consistent attendance and willingness to work occasional weekends if required.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in accounting within a manufacturing environment.
  • Practical experience with Oracle and/or Vantage payroll systems.
Physical Requirements

The role requires regular sitting, use of hands for keyboarding, and occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close and distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
