Role Summary:

The Wound and Ostomy Care Registered Nurse will offer leadership and specialized nursing care for patients dealing with wound, ostomy, and continence challenges, while considering their age-specific, developmental, cultural, and spiritual needs. This role involves promoting the application of current knowledge, techniques, and research through practice, education, and consultation, and acting as a catalyst for change in nursing practices. The nurse will perform professional nursing duties for selected patients and demonstrate competencies specific to the unit.
Available Shift: Day Shift
Employment Status: Part-time - not benefit eligible, 8 hours per week (16 hours per pay period)
Qualifications Required:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. Completion of an accredited Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nursing (WOCN) Program is required. A Master’s Degree in Nursing is preferred.
- Experience: A minimum of three to five years of progressively responsible experience in related fields.
- Certification: Relevant certifications in specialties such as Wound, Ostomy, Continence, and Foot and Nail care.
- Licensure: A current Michigan Registered Nurse license is mandatory.
