JOB SUMMARY
The Facilities Maintenance Engineer plays a crucial role in the upkeep and functionality of equipment as designated.

This position entails active participation in the preventative maintenance initiatives, addressing guest inquiries, and managing various work orders as assigned.

Moreover, the engineer is tasked with executing duties in a safe and effective manner, which includes performing skilled trades such as carpentry, painting, plumbing, and more.

Driving a shuttle van may be required based on property needs.

JOB DUTIES & FUNCTIONS
  • Assist in the operation, upkeep, and repair of various equipment.
  • Replace light bulbs and conduct preventative maintenance in guest accommodations, including vinyl repairs, touch-up painting, minor furniture fixes, and tub caulking.
  • Oversee preventative maintenance for ice machines, refrigerators, kitchen appliances, laundry machines, HVAC systems, guest rooms, meeting spaces, swimming pools, and hot tubs.
  • Conduct plumbing repairs, maintain laundry equipment, perform preventative checks on exhaust fans, and monitor energy efficiency; also responsible for repairing vacuum cleaners and other small equipment as requested.
  • Respond promptly to any alarms to identify the precise location and cause, assess emergency conditions, and communicate findings to the Front Desk.
  • Execute additional tasks as directed by the supervisor or manager.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Prior experience in a hospitality or related sector is preferred.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Licensure in a relevant trade (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, etc.) is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license for the applicable state is necessary.
  • An acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) is required based on property specifications.
  • Compensation is determined by experience and certifications.
