The Senior Operations Strategy Manager is accountable for the formulation, establishment, and enhancement of operational frameworks and organizational methodologies that drive our ambition to revolutionize the Renewable Services sector. This role is pivotal in fostering a robust organizational ethos that prioritizes outstanding standards in safety, quality, and operational proficiency.
This role offers the flexibility to work remotely with occasional travel requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the senior leadership team of Renewable Services (RS).
- Act as the internal advocate for RS, promoting the necessity for streamlined financial processes across the organization.
- Oversee the creation of automated solutions, including online and mobile applications, to enhance financial reporting within project tracking and operational workflows.
- Identify and address areas within the organization that necessitate the development of methods and processes, assisting stakeholders with documentation and implementation.
- Support business operations and stakeholders in all process enhancement initiatives.
- Lead improvements in the monthly financial reporting for the RS division.
- Design and implement an efficient monthly financial reporting system that is user-friendly.
- Where feasible, simplify processes to enhance usability for business users.
- Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) for critical business data and facilitate regular reporting of KPIs, including action items, deadlines, and responsible parties.
- As directed by the Vice President of Renewable Services, establish new reporting processes that align with the needs of MasTec Renewable Services.
- Ensure timely completion of quality assurance and repair reports for customer submissions.
- Support initiatives to guarantee accurate documentation of repairs.
- Acquire a comprehensive understanding of composite materials, repair techniques, and manufacturing processes.
- Implement effective communication strategies to support the development of methods and processes.
- Ensure impactful communication of all processes across the RS team and provide training to the operations team on any changes prior to implementation.
- Work closely with field leadership to identify operational performance gaps and develop corrective actions promptly.
- Ensure that methods, processes, and operational practices are effectively executed by field teams.
- Hold field leadership accountable for conducting Lessons Learned reviews for each project, ensuring essential insights are shared with RS Development and field teams.
- Collaborate with the RS Development team and Operational Leadership during the bidding phase to confirm that MasTec Renewable Services possesses the necessary documentation and expertise for all work scopes.
- Ensure that field teams and Operations Support leaders develop Temporary Work Procedures (TWPs) as required.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations with direct reports, providing proactive coaching and constructive feedback to enhance technical leadership and capabilities.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Operations, Finance, or a related discipline, or seven (7) years of relevant experience, including financial reporting.
- Experience in the Renewable Energy sector.
- Familiarity with all service offerings of RS groups.
- Experience with document control, quality assurance, lean/six sigma methodologies, etc.
Skills and Abilities:
- Proactive and capable of working independently.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Strong organizational capabilities.
- Excellent interpersonal, managerial, and leadership skills.
- Encourage a culture of safety and quality in all deliverables.
- Adept at multitasking and prioritizing in a dynamic environment.
