Job Description

At Martinrea International Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled Tooling Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful development and implementation of tooling solutions that meet our high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain tooling method plans for new business proposals, ensuring alignment with our manufacturing capabilities and limitations.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and production tooling groups to ensure die builds meet our specific needs.
  • Maintain tooling progress with vendors, ensuring timely and budget-friendly delivery of dies.
  • Review and disseminate supplier quotation packages, ensuring compliance with our quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain up-to-date documentation, including quote support, current die method plans, and manufacturing concern issues.
  • Travel to Martinrea facilities and integrators to support tooling build, buy-off, and integration at the manufacturing facility up to and through program launch.
  • Execute Material Reduction Initiatives and develop press set-up documents.
  • Work with EHS to ensure all safety protocols are being met and followed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or 5 years of related experience.
  • Tooling experience required.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Excellent organizational skills with dedication to quality.
  • Knowledge of computer software for Windows, Auto-CAD, or CAD equivalent.
  • Knowledge of IATF16949 and APQP processes.
