Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our manufacturing team at MillerKnoll. As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for assembling various products, operating multiple pieces of equipment, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble components into finished products
  • Pack finished products for shipment and label for shipment
  • Keep accurate records of jobs performed
  • Enter product information into a computerized inventory system
  • Transport stock to and from work areas
  • Mark job loads with order numbers
  • Inspect produced parts for quality and quantity
  • Requisition supplies as needed
  • Work from verbal or written instructions
  • May be required to pack units for shipment
  • Plan jobs to be most efficient
  • Participate in standard job rotations
  • Perform all duties according to safety policies and procedures
  • Perform all 5S housekeeping tasks in appropriate areas
  • Work to ensure work areas are maintained in a clean, orderly, and safe condition at all times
  • Complete all regularly scheduled 5S checks and immediately alert team members and team coordinators of all unsafe work conditions
  • Participate as a member of the Manufacturing Team
  • Participate in ongoing development, communication, and implementation of team concepts, programs, and policies
  • Coordinate work to ensure best practices with all team members
  • Attend appropriate team meetings
  • Accept responsibility to quickly identify any areas of lack of cohesiveness, bringing them to the attention of the team leader and working with the team in a supportive manner to resolve issues affecting cohesiveness
  • Actively look for ways and reinforce actions needed to achieve synergy possible within the larger organization
  • Perform other duties as necessary in support of business objectives
  • Lift up to 50 pounds
  • Stand up to 100% of the time
  • Push and pull up to 1,500 pounds on wheels
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent (GED), or work experience that demonstrates performance competency
  • 1 year of manufacturing assembly or related experience
