Job Summary

Trustmark is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Relationship Banker II to join our team. As a key member of our banking team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with our customers, identifying their financial needs, and providing tailored solutions to meet those needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers to understand their financial needs and provide personalized solutions.
  • Financial Needs Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of customers' financial situations to identify opportunities for growth and provide recommendations for products and services that meet their needs.
  • Product and Service Sales: Sell and promote Trustmark's products and services to customers, including deposit accounts, loan products, insurance products, and cash management services.
  • Transaction Processing: Process a variety of transactions, including deposits and withdrawals, wire transfers, and loan payments, while ensuring accuracy and security.
  • Cash Handling: Maintain and balance a cash drawer, handle cash transactions, and ensure the security of cash and other assets.
  • Account Management: Open, close, and maintain customer accounts, ensuring accurate and timely processing of transactions.
  • Performance Metrics: Meet and exceed sales and referral goals, while providing exceptional customer service and utilizing opportunities to transform service into sales.
  • Leadership and Development: Provide coaching, training, and guidance to other Relationship Bankers and Tellers, as needed, to ensure the success of the team.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; four-year college education or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum twelve (12) months face-to-face customer service experience and minimum twelve (12) months sales experience required.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written; ability to meet sales goals in a retail environment; basic computer skills and ability to learn internal technology systems; understanding of basic math concepts and principles.
