Pharmacy Technician Job Summary

The Pharmacy Technician is a key member of our healthcare team at MultiCare, assisting in the manipulative and non-discretionary functions of the practice of pharmacy. In this role, you will apply your organizational skills and attention to detail for successful daily work operations.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in ordering of supplies from wholesalers and direct accounts, and verify items received against invoices
  • Store items received and assist in maintaining stock levels, including dating and initialing invoices and/or packing slips upon receipt
  • Enter customer's medication and billing information into the computer system
  • Answer and screen telephone calls and forward as needed
  • Perform extemporaneous compounding under pharmacist supervision
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Current Pharmacy Technician Certification issued by the Washington State Department of Health
  • Successful completion of the National Pharmacy Technician Certification Program (preferred)
