About the Role

At Amazon, we're committed to delivering exceptional customer experiences. As a Category Manager, Supplier Center of Excellence, you'll play a critical role in driving supply chain excellence and innovation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute category strategies to improve supply agility, resilience, and security of supply.
  • Manage supplier relationships, including performance, capability development, and risk mitigation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement procurement strategies.
  • Lead or participate in the development of policies, procedures, and process efficiency initiatives.
  • Stay up-to-date with changing business requirements and market conditions, and adapt supplier relationships and contracts accordingly.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, I.T., or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain, strategic sourcing, procurement, or supplier management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to exercise judgment in evaluating suppliers and supplier performance.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree.
  • 10+ years of experience in supply chain, strategic sourcing, procurement, or supplier management.
  • Experience and knowledge of I.T. equipment and components, including network infrastructure, peripherals, and end user equipment.
  • Exceptional negotiation, contract development, and program management skills.
  • Strategic, long-term critical thinking and planning skills.
