We are currently seeking a full-time Accounting Specialist for Trust Services to join the Accounting Department of a prestigious global law firm. This role is based in Miami and offers a competitive salary along with a comprehensive benefits package.

Position Summary:

The Accounting Specialist for Trust Services will play a crucial role in supporting the Trust Department with various accounting responsibilities related to Trust and General accounts. Additionally, this position will provide assistance to the National Trust Team as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage accounts receivable by accurately recording trust deposits.
  • Conduct daily bank account reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
  • Review, verify, and document daily transactions within trust accounts.
  • Handle accounts payable by recording trust cash disbursements.
  • Perform general accounting tasks as assigned by management.

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Ability to work autonomously while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines while effectively prioritizing tasks.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Proficient problem-solving abilities, initiative, and sound judgment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with a professional demeanor.
  • Self-motivated individual who can work independently with minimal oversight.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • A minimum of two (2) years of accounting experience in a professional services setting.
  • Proficiency in Adobe and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) is essential.
  • Experience in a law firm, particularly with Real Estate trust transactions, is advantageous.
  • A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to quickly adapt to new software applications.
  • Familiarity with Windows-based software and Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
