**Job Overview:**

We are seeking a reliable and caring Childcare Support Specialist to join our team at Calvary Chapel Fellowship of Melbourne.

About the Role:

This is a part-time position, approximately 18 hours per week. The successful candidate will provide exceptional childcare services for church services, Bible studies, events, and other activities.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist parents during sign-in and pick-up, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
  • Interact with children, focusing on their needs at all times and providing a nurturing environment.
  • Utilize planned curriculum and assist children with crafts, promoting cognitive development and creativity.
  • Remain in assigned rooms during shifts, unless given permission by the Team Lead or Coordinator.
  • Accompany children to playgrounds or play areas, enforcing rules to prevent injuries and ensure a safe environment.
  • Guide children to restrooms and wait outside for younger children, if assistance is needed, keep the door cracked.
  • Serve snacks to children and maintain cleanliness throughout the area.
  • Change diapers (for female workers only) with gloves and wash hands after each child.
  • Clean rooms, toys, furniture, vacuum floors, and empty trash at shift-end, maintaining a clean and organized environment.
  • Assist volunteers in caring for children, fostering a collaborative team atmosphere.
  • Attend all mandatory Childcare meetings and adhere to CCM policies and childcare regulations.
  • Travel to other campuses for special events or services, representing the Calvary Chapel Fellowship of Melbourne.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written, and communication skills, particularly with parents.
  • Ability to interact with children while managing the classroom environment.
  • Capacity to use or learn software programs for check-in processes.
  • Dependable team-player who promotes unity and works well with people at all levels of the organization.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook for email.
  • Ability to multi-task, follow through on assignments, with good decision-making skills.
  • Willingness to participate in team-building projects and offer prayer when needed.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information and adaptability to change.
  • Ability to lift 35 pounds.

Estimated Salary: $15-$20 per hour (approximately $270-$360 per week), based on experience and qualifications.
