Job Overview

Position Summary:

The Community Support Specialist (CSS) plays a crucial role in aiding individuals to achieve fulfilling lives within their communities. Your mission will be to empower clients to develop skills and attain their highest level of independence.

Key Responsibilities:

Assisting clients with daily tasks such as meal preparation, household chores, and accompanying them to healthcare appointments.

Compensation: $20-22 per hour
Work Locations: Tacoma
Available Shifts:

Part-Time:

1pm-6pm OR 3pm-8pm, Sunday - Thursday

On-Call:

Friday and Saturday (All Shifts)

Sunday and Monday (All Shifts)

Monday - Friday (All Shifts)

We are seeking On-Call Community Support Specialists (CSS) for our Adult Residential Services in the Tacoma area.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Clear criminal history and ability to pass a background check
  • Must be at least 18 years of age

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Must obtain CPR/First Aid certification within 30 days of hire (cost covered by Service Alternatives)
  • Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and car insurance required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current NAR/CNA certification (cost covered by Service Alternatives)
  • Current 75-hour certification (Long-Term Care Worker) or exemption letter (cost covered by Service Alternatives)
