KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist the Physical Therapist in delivering rehabilitation services to individuals in a correctional environment.
  • Implement exercise regimens as directed by the Physical Therapist, ensuring progression and adaptation of exercises using available resources.
  • Link treatment activities to established goals and objectives.
  • Evaluate patient responses to therapy and modify treatments as necessary.
  • Monitor changes in patient conditions and communicate with the Physical Therapist regarding the need for reassessment.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of treatments and patient progress.
  • Foster professional relationships with colleagues and contribute to a positive workplace atmosphere through effective communication.
  • Ensure a clean and organized work environment.
  • Adhere to all security protocols for medical personnel within the correctional setting as per established policies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
  • Compliance with initial and ongoing security clearance requirements.
