Job Summary

The Maintenance Engineer position at Bohemian Hotel Savannah Riverfront is responsible for maintaining the property's facilities and equipment. This includes plumbing, appliances, electrical systems, boilers, painting, and sprinkler systems. The successful candidate will provide exceptional service to guests and support the hotel's mission and core values.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond promptly to guest requests and ensure their satisfaction
  • Maintain exercise equipment, steam room, and sauna
  • Maintain pool, hot tub, and proper PH levels
  • Maintain electrical systems and laundry equipment
  • Maintain boilers with proper temperature and pumps
  • Paint walls, trim, and baseboards, and repair and stain wood doors
  • Snake and repair plumbing and replace burned-out light bulbs
  • Use software to respond to deficiencies in rooms and hallways
  • Maintain company proprietary information and protect company assets
  • Read SDS sheets and follow proper chemical handling
  • Work efficiently to meet daily requirements and solve problems proficiently
  • Secure lost items according to specifications and maintain a neat and organized work area
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience in a similar scope and title
  • Ability to perform all Engineer 1-related tasks and proficiently use job-related tools and equipment
  • Ability to remain calm in various situations and use sound judgment to solve problems
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow instructions, prioritize, and multi-task
Work Environment

The work environment at Bohemian Hotel Savannah Riverfront is fast-paced and dynamic. The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a shared space with constant noise and without the use of a private office. Schedules may vary from week to week based on business demands, and the candidate must be able to cope with frequent changing priorities and deadlines.

Physical Demands

The physical demands of this role include standing, walking, stooping, bending, and crouching for up to 8 hours on a daily basis. The candidate must also be able to push, pull, and lift up to 450 lbs. and travel by foot, car, bus, airplane, or other means of transportation.
