Primary Responsibilities

In the role of Technology Designer 2, you will be responsible for:

  • Designing integrated low-voltage systems
  • Calculating electrical power loads and determining UPS requirements
  • Creating a complete set of construction documents
  • Independently performing low-voltage technology system/electrical engineering assignments
  • Writing specifications and performing reviews
  • Assisting other designers and project coordinators as needed
  • Conducting QA/QC on the work of other project coordinators or technicians
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in low-voltage system design
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant in our employee-owned culture

We also prefer candidates with:

  • RCDD (Registered Communication Distribution Designer) certification
  • Familiarity with MS Project, MS Visio, and Autodesk
