Job Summary

The Handyman will perform a variety of maintenance, repair, and housekeeping tasks to provide a clean and safe environment to residents of West Side Federation for Senior and Supportive Housing, Inc. (WSFSSH) with the goal of enabling residents to live safely and as independently as possible.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing vacant apartments for occupancy
  • Perform painting and light repairs as directed
  • Assist in special projects, such as stripping and waxing floors
  • Assist in plumbing and electrical repairs as directed
Requirements
  • Preferred: Minimum of 1 year experience working with dependent persons
  • Preferred: Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated work experience as a handy-person
  • Preferred: Strong maintenance skills and experience
  • Preferred: Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Able to work in a multicultural and diverse environment
  • Able to perform job responsibilities
Work Schedule

Saturday: 6am-2pm
