Job Summary

The Good Samaritan Society is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide high-quality care to our residents in a long-term care setting. As an LPN, you will work under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician to deliver exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional nursing care to residents of all ages in a long-term care setting
  • Assess residents' physical and psychosocial needs and develop individualized care plans
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered by a physician or advanced practice provider
  • Document resident interactions, outcomes, and care provided
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Counsel residents, family members, and/or resident advocates on prevention and treatment plans
  • Develop and implement self-care programs for residents
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse
  • Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred
  • Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges
  • Obtains and subsequently maintains required department-specific competencies and certifications
