Primary Objective: Collaborate effectively with the Medical Director and healthcare professionals in overseeing the nursing aspects of the residential treatment program. Lead, mentor, and assess all nursing personnel while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards set forth by relevant oversight bodies.
Required Qualifications: Must possess a valid NYS Registered Nurse Certificate or NYS Nurse Practitioner designation along with CPR certification.
Experience Criteria: A minimum of five years in nursing practice, including at least three years in a supervisory or related role. Experience in substance use disorder treatment is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical leadership to nursing teams, ensuring adherence to intake protocols, treatment documentation, and discharge planning in accordance with established policies.
- Oversee, mentor, and evaluate program staff to ensure compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.
- Guide intake medical personnel in client assessments, including the collection of essential admission data and evaluation of physical and mental health status.
- Evaluate clients for medically supervised withdrawal services suitable for stabilization care.
- Conduct regular site evaluations across all residential programs to support medical staff.
- Facilitate seamless service delivery within the residential treatment programs to uphold care quality.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with medical policies and procedures throughout the residential program.
- Assist the Medical Director and medical staff in preparing for site reviews and inspections by regulatory bodies.
- Guarantee the confidentiality and safety of all residential clients and the facility.
- Compile necessary reports and records as required.
- Manage and report incidents in accordance with the established incident reporting protocol.
- Coordinate communication with local emergency services as necessary.
- Participate in mandatory staff meetings and training sessions.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
