Job Summary

This position requires a strong commitment to providing exceptional patient outcomes and a collaborative approach to working with interdisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver patient care through the process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Prescribe, delegate, coordinate, supervise, and evaluate patient teaching and the activities of ancillary nursing personnel.
  • Provide direct and indirect care to patients, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a State Board School of Nursing or equivalent.
  • Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license.
  • BLS Certification required or within 2 weeks of hire date.
  • Nephrology nursing certification preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2 years dialysis nursing experience or Certification in Nephrology Nursing.
Work Environment
  • Works in a clean, well-lit, ventilated, smoke-free environment.
  • Subject to stressful professional relationships.
  • Varied working hours with flexibility due to unexpected changes in schedule and emergencies.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to handle emergency/crisis situations.
  • Prolonged, extensive, or considerable standing and walking.
  • Heavy physical effort to position, push, and/or transfer patients or equipment and supplies.
  • Considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
