As a Registered Nurse with CHRISTUS Health, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care through assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This position requires a strong commitment to providing exceptional patient outcomes and a collaborative approach to working with interdisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver patient care through the process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Prescribe, delegate, coordinate, supervise, and evaluate patient teaching and the activities of ancillary nursing personnel.
- Provide direct and indirect care to patients, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Graduate of a State Board School of Nursing or equivalent.
- Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license.
- BLS Certification required or within 2 weeks of hire date.
- Nephrology nursing certification preferred.
- 2 years dialysis nursing experience or Certification in Nephrology Nursing.
- Works in a clean, well-lit, ventilated, smoke-free environment.
- Subject to stressful professional relationships.
- Varied working hours with flexibility due to unexpected changes in schedule and emergencies.
- Ability to handle emergency/crisis situations.
- Prolonged, extensive, or considerable standing and walking.
- Heavy physical effort to position, push, and/or transfer patients or equipment and supplies.
- Considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
