About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathology Assistant to join our team at Providence Saint John's Health Center. As a Speech Language Pathology Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our Speech Pathologists in providing high-quality care to children aged 2 to 5 years old.

Key Responsibilities
  • Under the supervision of the Program Manager and Clinical Supervision of the Speech Language Pathology Practice Manager, you will assist Speech Pathologists in performing specific components of Speech Pathology interventions.
  • You will modify interventions only in accordance with changes in patient/client status and within the scope of the plan of care established by the Speech Pathologist.
  • You will follow an individualized performance development plan to maintain current knowledge and be competent in critical areas, while supporting day treatment plan goals, objectives, functions, and philosophy within a multidisciplinary team.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree - Accredited and board-approved SLPA program
  • Bachelor's Degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited and board-approved program or equivalent education/experience
  • California Speech Language Pathologist Assistant License upon hire
  • Successful completion of 70 hours of supervised field work experience or its clinical experience equivalent
  • Experience working with children aged 2 to 5 years old
