Job Overview

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The role may involve exposure to elevated noise levels and frequent interaction with various elements, including dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, extreme temperatures, and potentially hazardous materials.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This position demands significant physical activity, including frequent lifting of items weighing up to 25 lbs and occasional lifting of up to 60 lbs. The ability to work in awkward and unsupported positions is essential.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Execute multi-skilled tasks related to in-plant maintenance operations.

Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and electrical blueprints.

Follow written or verbal instructions, including sketches or diagrams.


Diagnose issues by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for irregularities, and utilizing precision measuring and testing tools.

Recognize the tools, equipment, and skills pertinent to industrial plumbing and pipefitting. Comprehend both DC and AC principles and components, including motors, controllers, and PLCs.

Install and test electrical wiring, circuits, and equipment using appropriate tools, materials, and safety procedures.

Manage preventive maintenance and troubleshooting tasks, scheduling equipment downtime as necessary.

Maintain inventory of parts and materials by assessing stock levels, anticipating required items, requesting restocking, and confirming receipt of orders.

Utilize necessary skills, tools, and materials to drill, weld, and machine metal for repairs.

Identify, describe, remove, replace, install, and maintain various types of bearings and seals.

Enhance equipment efficiency by implementing modifications, making adjustments, and suggesting improvements.


SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL COMPLIANCE:

Maintain a safe and organized work environment by adhering to established procedures, rules, and regulations.

Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promote ongoing improvements in workplace safety and environmental practices as mandated by company policies and applicable regulations.


QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in Industrial Maintenance is required.

An Associate Degree in Industrial Maintenance Technology is preferred.

Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, along with the procedures for installation and repair.

Ability to operate a personal computer with Microsoft Office and maintenance software.

Familiarity with various hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, multi-meters, and standard measuring instruments is essential.

Capability to operate a forklift and related lifting equipment.
