Sacred Heart School is seeking a dedicated Part-Time Maintenance Custodian to join our team. This role is an hourly position focused on maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of our facilities.
Reporting Structure:
This position reports directly to the Director of Facilities.
Typical Work Schedule:
Hours are from 8 AM to 1 PM, Monday through Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct maintenance and minor repairs across all school and parish buildings.
2. Provide janitorial services to ensure cleanliness in the school, church, parish center, and offices.
3. Develop and maintain a comprehensive maintenance schedule for all facilities.
4. Perform grounds upkeep, including lawn care and snow removal.
5. Execute preventive maintenance tasks for plumbing, heating, cooling, and electrical systems, while keeping accurate records.
6. Arrange furniture and fixtures as necessary for educational and church-related activities.
7. Prepare purchase orders for necessary supplies and equipment for approval.
8. Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Facilities.
Qualifications:
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Previous experience in building maintenance is preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- High level of integrity and discretion.
- Familiarity with common hand tools and maintenance equipment.
- Must be reachable by cell phone for communication.
