Position Overview:

We are excited to welcome an Operations Technician II to our esteemed team at Enbridge.

Have you gained experience in production or pipeline operations and are now looking to expand your expertise into offshore environments? This role presents an excellent opportunity for you.

The Operations Technician II will be responsible for the upkeep of pipeline equipment across various locations and platforms. In this crucial position, you will diagnose and repair malfunctioning pipeline apparatus while also overseeing valves, pigging operations, and chemical injection systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and service pipeline valves.
  • Initiate pigging operations at different platforms.
  • Support measurement technicians as required.
  • Complete all mandatory training in accordance with Enbridge, PSM, and DOT standards.
  • Monitor and maintain platform generators, valves, and corrosion chemical pumps.
  • Lead efforts in obtaining permits for work performed by other technicians and contractors on the platforms.
  • Maintain communication with gas control regarding daily operations and any operational challenges.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • 3-4 years of operational experience in production or pipeline environments.
  • A High School Diploma.
  • Experience with valves, pumps, and safety mechanisms.
  • Mechanical skills are advantageous.

Additional qualifications that are beneficial include:

  • Prior experience in process or pipeline operations.
  • Experience working in offshore facilities.

Work Environment:

  • Work will be conducted in 12-hour shifts on a 7&7 schedule.
  • Physical capability to navigate stairs regularly and endure varying temperatures.
  • Willingness to work overtime, extended hours, and respond to emergency callouts as necessary.
  • Daily operations will occur in an offshore setting, with frequent helicopter travel.
  • International relocation assistance is not available for this position.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

Physical demands include, but are not limited to, grasping, kneeling, light to moderate lifting (up to 40 pounds), reaching, repetitive motions, and prolonged periods of sitting and typing.

Mental requirements encompass the ability to understand and apply instructions, solve complex problems, organize tasks, and communicate effectively.
