POSITION OVERVIEW:

Our client is a leading business law firm with a comprehensive international practice. We are currently seeking a Manager of Legal Practice Innovations for our client's operations. This role is integral to the firm’s efforts to enhance and promote the services offered by the Practice Innovation Department. Collaborating closely with the Director of Legal Service Delivery and the FOCUS Team, the Manager will be pivotal in creating departmental materials, articulating service offerings in client proposals, managing projects and events, and overseeing the operations of the department. Additionally, this role will identify opportunities for the firm to utilize departmental services to improve efficiency in service delivery.

The ideal candidate will possess the ability to facilitate strategic planning sessions, conduct data analysis, implement improvements, and quickly assimilate knowledge of new services and technologies to educate others. We seek a proactive self-starter with proven experience in business development, along with strong creative, organizational, and facilitation skills. The Manager of Legal Practice Innovations will report directly to the Director of Legal Service Delivery.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Communicate effectively and promptly with both internal and external stakeholders.

· Build and maintain strong relationships with attorneys, clients, and team members.

· Exhibit exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.

· Produce clear, concise, and error-free work products.

· Demonstrate initiative and independent judgment, coupled with excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

· Manage workload effectively and keep supervisors informed of ongoing projects.

· Ensure key stakeholders are updated on project developments, including progress, risks, and timelines.

· Approach projects with a focus on design thinking, project management, and process enhancement.

· Understand the interplay between legal service delivery and various internal teams, facilitating collaboration and cohesive messaging.

· Continuously seek ways to enhance client satisfaction and strengthen relationships.

· Provide outstanding customer service in response to requests from clients, attorneys, and peers.

· Uphold the firm’s and department’s standards for client service.

PRACTICE INNOVATION DUTIES:

· Monitor and analyze key metrics related to client proposals that leverage departmental services to inform business development strategies.

· Plan and execute innovative initiatives aimed at increasing awareness and engagement within the firm.

· Collaborate with service line leaders to educate on scalable offerings and develop reference materials for attorneys.

· Work with the Business Development Team to create and refine template materials for proposals.

· Customize materials for specific pitches and proposals.

· Partner with the Business Development Team to craft award submissions and external marketing content.

· Collaborate with leadership on tracking and implementing services following new business wins or client feedback.

· Develop and implement marketing strategies to enhance the visibility of the department.

· Create and manage marketing campaigns, including digital initiatives and event planning, to promote departmental innovations.

· Analyze market trends and client feedback to refine marketing strategies and improve departmental offerings.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Experience in marketing within a law firm or professional services environment.

· Background in legal project management or practice innovation is advantageous.

· A relevant undergraduate degree or equivalent experience is required; a J.D. or MBA is a plus.

· Experience in data visualization and analysis is beneficial.

· Ability to manage multiple deadlines and demonstrate innovative problem-solving skills.

· Must be a proactive problem solver, capable of working independently and delivering high-quality work consistently.

· Adaptability to new ideas, approaches, and technologies is essential.

· Proven ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.

· Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate professional communication.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint and Excel, with the ability to quickly learn new applications.
