Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Texas Orthopedic Hospital. As a key member of our Diagnostic Imaging Department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians in performing magnetic resonance imaging procedures, ensuring accurate and efficient results.
  • Review and complete necessary paperwork for each patient, including exam, scheduling, and medical records.
  • Transport patients to and from their rooms and ER, providing a safe and comfortable experience.
  • Monitor equipment for mechanical safety and perform routine maintenance tasks.
  • Explain procedures to patients, reducing anxieties and obtaining cooperation.
  • Position patients on examining tables and adjust immobilization devices for optimal views.
  • Work collaboratively with the Diagnostic Imaging Department to meet patient needs and achieve departmental goals.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited program for Technologist.
  • Current licensure or permit in the State of Texas (TDH).
  • CT registry preferred.
  • MRI registry required within 6 months from date of hire for MRI registry-eligible candidates.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a hospital-imaging department.
  • 1 year experience in CT or MRI preferred.
  • American Heart Association BLS certification required.
