Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Compile and analyze financial information to prepare accurate and timely financial statements and supporting schedules.
  • Financial Analysis: Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information, and provide recommendations for financial actions.
  • Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile and balance bank statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Accounting Guidance: Guide accounting staff by coordinating activities and answering questions, and provide training and development opportunities to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Financial Reporting: Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met, and coordinate the preparation and submission of financial reports to stakeholders.
  • ERISA Plan Audits: Coordinate the ERISA Plan audits with external and internal parties, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and laws.
  • Department Support: Assist with department overflow and maintain flexibility regarding work schedule, and provide support to other departments as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of previous accounting experience, with a minimum of 3 years of previous financial statement experience.
  • Skills: Advanced experience in MS Excel, with a strong understanding of financial reporting and analysis.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and practices, and experience with Sage 100 ERP preferred.
