Key Responsibilities:

  • Dispensing medications in accordance with established protocols.
  • Overseeing the procurement and ordering of medications.
  • Recruiting, training, and supervising medication technicians and personal care aides.
  • Ensuring appropriate staffing levels and scheduling that align with resident needs.
  • Maintaining and updating case management documentation.
  • Coordinating care efforts with residents, their families, and medical professionals.
  • Fostering a supportive and positive environment for residents, families, visitors, and staff.
  • Addressing staffing shortages as necessary.
  • Ensuring that all staff members are adequately trained and certified.
  • Being available on-call for emergencies and fulfilling managerial duties as required.
  • Performing additional responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with a minimum of one year of experience in long-term care or assisted living settings.
  • Current LPN licensure in the state of New York.
  • Proficient in managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Able to lead and collaborate within a team environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Experience working with senior populations is preferred.
  • Capable of making informed decisions that prioritize resident welfare.
  • Physical ability to lift weights ranging from 25 to 35 pounds.
