Job Title: Encryption Engineering Team Lead

This role offers a unique blend of technical expertise and leadership skills, as we seek a highly motivated and experienced individual to lead our Security Engineering team.

About the Role:

We are looking for a seasoned professional with a strong background in encryption technologies and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) implementation and management. As the Encryption Engineering Team Lead, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive encryption strategies and PKI solutions to protect sensitive data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of security engineers specializing in encryption and PKI.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive encryption strategies and PKI solutions to protect sensitive data.
  • Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of encryption technologies and PKI systems.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices for encryption and PKI.
  • Collaborate with other technical teams and leadership to deliver innovative solutions and services to our customers.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in encryption technologies and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) implementation and management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Capable of working on multiple projects of a complex nature.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to assist in issue resolution.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Experience encouraging teamwork and serving as a role model when leading and directing others.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of 10 years' technology management or large program leadership experience.
  • Strong understanding of cryptographic protocols, algorithms, and key management practices.
  • Subject Matter Expert understanding of applications supported with an advanced knowledge of interfacing/integrated applications.

Compensation and Benefits:

M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $110, $184,391.68 Annual (USD). The successful candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
