ROLE SUMMARY
The Recreation and Activities Supervisor plays a crucial role in managing the daily operations of the recreation team. This position is responsible for designing and implementing engaging activities that cater to the diverse interests and needs of participants, including inter-generational programs, arts and crafts, music, modified sports, and technology-based initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS

- Skill in planning, organizing, and managing recreational activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in the planning, organization, evaluation, and promotion of departmental programs and services.
- Support the preparation of the annual budget, maintain accurate records, and generate reports related to assigned activities.
- Create, implement, and assess social, recreational, and educational initiatives.
- Develop a monthly calendar of activities and a newsletter for participants and their caregivers.
- Manage and report on the recreation and activity budget on a monthly basis.
- Ensure timely completion of all necessary documentation.
- Conduct assessments for new participants to tailor activities to their needs.
- Lead teams in executing projects, activities, and excursions.
- Oversee all aspects of the activity program, from planning to post-launch evaluation.
- Coach, mentor, recruit, train, and manage staff performance.
- Supervise and guide staff during activities and events.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting environment for guests.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Ensure consistent and reliable attendance.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- High school diploma or currently pursuing a degree.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in recreation or activities management.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This role requires regular standing, using hands and fingers, reaching, and occasional hiking or outdoor activities with guests. The ability to swim or maintain balance in a pool is necessary for certain activities. The position may involve lifting supplies weighing up to 50 pounds and occasionally more with assistance. Vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception.
