Job Title: Licensed Vocational Nurse

AvaMed Workforce is seeking a highly skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our team at a correctional facility in Crescent City, CA.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate LVN to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced correctional setting. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of experience and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide basic hygiene and nursing care, including administration of prescribed medications and therapeutic treatments.
  • Collect patient information and report results to the Primary Care Provider or RN in a timely manner.
  • Document patient care and treatment in the approved format, noting and carrying out physician's orders.
  • Assist with clinic appointments, including physical exams, minor surgeries, and casting.
  • Participate in the training of patients in activities of daily living and assist with routine treatments.
Requirements:
  • Current LVN licensure in the state of California.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as an LVN.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
