Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sports Nutrition Specialist to join our team at Princeton University. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive sports nutrition-related care and education to our student athletes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical and educational sports nutrition services to support the optimal performance and health of our student-athletes and athletic teams.
  • Collaborate with team physicians, athletic medicine staff, and athletics staff to ensure the nutritional needs of our student-athletes are met.
  • Assist with research and procurement of sports nutrition products to ensure safety, legality, and efficacy.
  • Develop and maintain sports nutrition-related policies and protocols.
  • Provide nutrition education to student athletes and athletic staff through various channels.
Requirements
  • 1+ years of experience and a Bachelor's degree in clinical nutrition, food and nutrition, or a related area.
  • Completion of a coordinated and/or didactic program in dietetics and supervised practice program approved by the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education (CADE) of the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics.
  • Active registration on the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
  • Certification/Licensure as required by state of practice.
  • Strong interest in working with sports nutrition, eating disorders, and obtaining hours for CSSD (Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics).
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1-2 years of clinical outpatient experience delivering individual nutritional care for disordered eating, weight management, diabetes, lipid disorders, food allergies, and gastrointestinal issues/diseases.
  • 1-2 years of sports dietetics experience in the collegiate and/or professional setting.
  • CSSD (Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics).
  • Training in health equity and other diversity and inclusion topics.
